Easter egg hunt at Villanova
By Michael Nataro '06

On March 20, the Panhellenic and Interfraternity councils held their annual easter egg hunt for the children of the families and friends of Villanova. Rain moved the event into Dougherty Hall, but that did not stop more than a hundred children from scouring every corner for Easter eggs, gorging themselves on candy and intently watching the locally-renowned magician John Cassidy and his performance.

With a performance lasting almost an hour, illusionist Cassidy, known for his witty humor and rapid-fire talking, entertained the children with old favorite tricks such as pulling a rabbit out of a hat and turning bunch of flowers into a dove all the while making balloon sculptures for the crowd.

Dr. Mark Graham, professor of Ethics at Villanova shared his children’s experience of the Easter egg hunt. “The kids had a wonderful time.  Of course, kids and sugar are a winning recipe.  But they enjoyed the egg hunt, and my son really enjoyed the magician.  We'll be making this event a pre-Easter tradition.”
