parking permit fees to increase

Jeffery Horton, director of Public Safety announced
this week that after nearly 14 years faculty/staff parking permit fees will
be increased to $125 for the 2005-2006 academic year and all VU hangtags
will be raised to $150. Fees for faculty and staff who purchase a main lot
hang tag will not be increased at this time.
“Parking related costs have risen substantially
since 1992,” Horton said. “Even with the 2005/2006 increases, we are very
fortunate to be able to maintain a parking fee structure that is
substantially lower than in most major colleges and universities.”
As in past years, parking registration will be done
through NOVASIS beginning June 1. To access this form you will need your
NOVASIS ID and Password. Faculty and staff who complete the form on line can
expect a payroll deduction at the appropriate time and hang tags
hand-delivered to their offices.
