Villanovans
gather for annual Christmas tree lighting
Amid snowdrifts and moderate temperatures, on Dec. 8 students
took a break from classes and studying for finals to join faculty and
staff for the annual lighting of the Christmas tree near Doughtery Hall.
A weekend snowfall provided the campus with a perfect backdrop for the
annual celebration. There were carols and reflections on the true meaning
of the blessed season, after which, Villanovans gathered inside the Connelly
Center to sip hot chocolate, nibble on cookies, and greet friends as a
wreath was hung.
