Dr. James J. Kirschke, associate professor of English at Villanova University presented an essay titled, Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) "The Father of all the Yankees" at the East-Central Society for 18th Century Studies Annual Conference at Rosemont College in October 2002. The essay was selected by Archiving Early America for inclusion in their publication, The Early America Review Winter-Spring 2002 edition Volume IV No. 3. Frank Henninger, CSP, director of the University Store, was installed as President Elect of the Middle Atlantic College Stores, Inc. at their Annual Meeting in Gettysburg. Pa. The installation took place at a banquet on October 28, 2002. The next Annual Meeting will be held October 16-18, 2003 at the Valley Forge Radisson & Scanticon Conference Center in King of Prussia, Pa, at which time Frank will be installed as the President of M.A.C.S.

Rev. George F. Riley, O.S.A., Ph.D offered the invocation at the Convening Day for the 2003-2004 Sessions of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Father Riley is The Special Assistant to the President for External Relations.

The Annual Writing for Publication Seminar will be held this Spring on May 2-3, 2003. The seminar is in its twenty-eight year and meets for four hours on Friday and six hours on Saturday.
