Who wants to be a millionaire? Belle Air Terrace customers!
On Dec. 11, the Belle Air Terrace held its own version of the hit-game
show as part of the 4th Annual Belle Air Terrace Customer Appreciation
Day. Students and faculty gathered to watch “Who Wants to be a Millionaire”
guest hosts, NBC 10 News Anchor, Steve Levy, and Villanova’s men’s
basketball coach, Jay Wright, quiz contestants on nutrition and Villanova
basketball knowledge. The winner won the grand prize of a portable DVD
player. Host Levy enjoyed being host for the game show and participating
in the Customer Appreciation Day.
“I think it is a wonderful idea just to say, thank you,” Levy
said. “It is something that should be done more often in our society.”
Those who didn’t participate in the game show still had a chance
to win. Belle Air Terrace raffled off other fun prizes, including a 20-inch
TV/DVD and a popcorn maker. In an effort to appreciate their customers
there were also a complimentary “Bread and Spread” table and
desert table, free fountain drinks, and reduced meal prices. New Philippine-inspired
entrees, chicken adoro and pancit, were sampled by customers.
Michelle Moss, general manager of the Connelly Center Dining Services,
who helped plan the Customer Appreciation Day said, “Today, like
everyday, we are trying to provide our customers with good food, entertainment,
and a fun atmosphere.”
Connelly Center looked festive with red and green balloons, holiday tablecloths
and Christmas garland. Students were amused by the balloon artist who
twisted colorful balloons into fun shapes. Everyone appeared to enjoy
the day.
Belle Air Terrace customer, Mary Rogers ‘04 said “What a great
day! I eat at Belle Air Terrace all the time and I think it is fantastic
that they take the opportunity to appreciate customers like me.”
