Paralegal Program honors first Fall Day class
Kevin Maher ’04

The Paralegal Education Program celebrated the achievements of its newest class at the 2002 Fall Day Graduation Dinner on Feb. 13 at the Radnor Hotel,. Faculty, staff, family and friends were all on hand to honor the graduates.

Opening the reception, Dr. Samuel A. DiLullo, coordinator of the Paralegal Education Program, explained that the special significance of this class was that it featured the first graduates of the newly offered fall day program. He described the program as being very comprehensive and well respected.

Donna J. Mouzayck, advisory board member and first deputy city solicitor, City of Philadelphia, delivered an inspiring address to those in attendance. Officially welcoming the graduates to the law community she emphasized, “Your work will impact justice.” Describing paralegal professionals as being part of a rapidly growing field, she explained the demand for professionals capable of ethically performing many of the same actions as lawyers. Through mention of the Law of Foreseeability, she urged the class to look beyond the routine, understand the law and take initiative, adding, “You must define what your role will be.”

Gary H. Bonas, Jr., director of Continuing Studies, joined DiLullo in the presentation of awards and certificates to the graduates. Anne Burdsall, Yetnayet (Mimi) Lemma, Lynn Noesner, Colleen Schultz and Danielle Williams were recognized for the distinct achievement of a perfect 4.0 average.
