The Center for Advanced Communications holds annual meeting

   On Oct. 7, The Center for Advanced Communications held its Annual Meeting in the Connelly Center. The event was sponsored by Villanova University College of Engineering and began with opening remarks from Dr. Moeness Amin, director of the CAC, Dr. Barry Johnson, dean of Engineering, Dr. H. Keith Moo-Young, College of Engineering associate dean of Research, and Dr. Milton T. Cole, assistant vice president of Academic Affairs for Research and Sponsored Projects.

   The purpose of the CAC annual meeting is to present ongoing research activities undertaken by the CAC faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students to academic institutions, industries, federal government, state agencies and research sponsors. Research projects sponsored by Defense Advanced Research Project Agency, the National Science Foundation and the Office of Naval Research were presented and discussed at this years meeting.

   In total, nine presentations were given by Villanova Engineering faculty members and industry partners to over 130 people representing 33 organizations. The daylong event concluded with tours of the research labs at CEER.
