Space
flight engineer alumna to speak Nov.4

Christy Hansen ‘97, will give a presentation on her role as a space
flight engineer with NASA on Nov. 4 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Radnor Room of
the Connelly Center.
Hansen trains astronauts to prepare for space walks
on the International Space Station and performs backup inspections to verify
possible damage to the space shuttle tiles after a launch. In late November,
she will be presenting her work on extra-vehicular activity at the Mission
Control Center in Moscow as a participant in the Russian Power
Reconfiguration meeting involving flight controllers
from NASA.
The alumna’s mother, Geri Hansen, is a staff member
