BEST REGIONAL UNIVERSITY ON
U.S. NEWS AND WORLD REPORT BEST UNIVERSITY LIST
Villanova University has again finished first in its region (North) in
this year’s U.S. News and World Report ranking of America’s
best colleges and universities. This is Villanova’s fourteenth consecutive
year in the top spot.
In 2001, U.S. News and World Report renamed the “regional universities”
list as Best Universities – Masters (by region). The magazine ranks
the 573 universities within four areas (North, South, East and West);
it renamed the category to reflect the institutions’ mission providing
a full range of undergraduate and master’s level programs, along
with a few doctoral programs.
