David Burke, Serials and Digital Resources Cataloger
for Falvey Memorial Library, was named a co-chair of the Electronics
Communications Committee for the North American Serials Interest Group for
the 2004/05 fiscal year. As part of his duties in this position, he will
also serve as Webmaster for the NASIG Web site.
Lorraine Gallagher-Williams, graphic designer in the Media
Technologies & Creative Design department, has been recognized for her
graphic design work on the Villanova University Dining Services
spring/summer 2004 catering menu through the annual Loyal E. Horton Dining
Award. This honor, considered the ultimate professional tribute in NACUFS
(the National Association of College and University Food Services) culinary
arts, salutes the most successful ideas in menus, presentations, special
event planning and new dining concepts from colleges and universities across
the United States. VU Dining Services entered this year's contest featuring
the menus they produced for academic year 2003-2004 and won the Silver
Medal, second only to Notre Dame. |
