Villanova again ranked Best Regional
University on U.S. News and World Report Best University List
Villanova University has again been named first in its
region (North) in this year’s U.S. News and World Report ranking of
America’s best colleges and universities. This is Villanova’s fifteenth
consecutive year in the top spot.
U.S. News and World Report in 2001 renamed the
“regional universities” list to Best Universities—Master’s (by region). The
magazine ranks the 572 universities within four areas: North, South, East
and West. It renamed the category to reflect these institutions’ mission
and their ability to provide a full range of undergraduate and graduate
programs, along with a few doctoral programs.
